Dolce and Gabbana is an Italian fashion house based in Milan, Italy. Since its establishment in 1985, Dolce and Gabbana clothing has gained a significant amount of recognition and popularity from the public.

The Dolce and Gabbana clothing collection has two main clothing lines - Dolce & Gabbana and D&G. D&G is generally a more casual line with slightly cheaper prices and follows the current cultural trends. Dolce & Gabbana concentrate on luxury materials which are considerably more expensive. Each line features beachwear, underwear, sunglasses and fragrances. The D&G line also features jewelry and watches.
Additionally, the Dolce and Gabbana clothing collection also has a separate line for children under the age of 13 called D&G Junior. Similar to the D&G adult line, D&G Junior follows seasonal trends for boys and girls across a range of ages. D&G Junior is more visibly influenced by popular culture compared to D&G, such as the Ibiza line of D&G Junior.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana first met in Milan in 1980, while working as assistants in an atelier. Dolce studied fashion design and worked for his families clothing factory, and Gabbana was a trained graphic designer.
They started business together in 1982, and continued to do freelance designing for others. Their first Dolce and Gabbana clothing collection was launched to international acclaim in 1986. The collection was limited to jacket's, dresses, and suits. The first boutique opened in 1989 in Tokyo, Japan with subsequent openings in Milan and Hong Kong. The brand soon expanded it's Dolce and Gabbana clothing collection, introducing knitwear, beachwear, lingerie, handbags and accessories.
Domenico and Stefano developed, and remain the driving force behind a growth strategy based on balanced development and focus on the core business.
